We stayed in the Santa Chiara for one night during our Napoli-Amalfi Coast trip. It is an amazing experience, already from entering the huge old outside door into the open space and then to the ancient elevator (always fun). After being transported through the 18th-19th century you enter the hotel and its luxury. Of course it should be mentioned that it is in the centre of Centro Storico, which is definitely one of the most visit-worthy locations in Napoli. You go out of the hotel and all of the best pizzerias, icecream shops, etc. are some steps away.
All personnel were extremely nice with us, from email contact to check-in, tips, etc. We were offered a welcome drink and a visit to the terrace on the 5th floor, with views on all of Napoli. The room itself (a suite) is actually somehow on 2 floors. You enter a small space at the bottom floor and then get to the top floor through some stairs. A huge comfy bed, a large showerspace and an interesting room setup made us conclude that our entire first day in Napoli was one of our best travelling days ever!
Definitely worth it, especially if you catch a good price!
We researched countless hotels while looking for our place to stay in Naples. And I am so happy we chose this one! Every touch is perfect. The rooms are spacious. The breakfast is amazing! And you cannot beat the location. You are in the heart of Naples. We opened our window/door this morning to the balcony and I loved hearing the sounds of the city.
The gate closes at night and you need a code to access the hotel. Very comfortable and you feel like you’re in your own little castle!
